Duration/Usual Hours Per Week: Full-Time, 48 Hours Per Week Minimum This is a full-time temporary job from 6/15/22 to 11/15/22.

Experience / Qualifications:

Must have three months experience hand harvesting produce. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be physically able to meet/perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. Failing or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields for harvest activities or the packing facility for packing operations.

Crops: soy bean, sweet corn, fresh market beans, beets, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, eggplant, gourds, greens, lettuce, melons, okra, onion, peas, peppers, potato & other root crops, pumpkin, summer and winter squash, tomato, flowers, fall ornamentals, hay, straw, popcorn, & herbs.

Workers will prepare field/beds for planting by hand; plant seed by hand; transplant by hand and by machine; lay plastic by hand' weed by hand and with a hoe; Workers will hand harvest all of the crops above. Workers will irrigate, tractor operation; motor vehicle transportation (if properly licensed) harvest seed, vegetable and flowers by hand, assist in market delivery (unpacking and handoff), Area clean up, repack all listed crops, husk seed by hand; wash by hand; do general crop maintenance (pinching & tying) by hand. Detasseling, thinning and rogueing of plants; Hand sort shelled seed, participate in end of the day clean up around farm, maintain general farm neatness and cleanliness. Support jobs include bin and pallet repair and after-hours cleanup. Farm, and Field Sanitation All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and other farm sanitation duties.

Employer will furnish free cooking and kitchen facilities to those workers who are entitled to live in the employers' housing so that workers may prepare their own meals. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employers will offer to provide (on a voluntary basis by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries.

Employer will guarantee to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 of the workdays of the total specified period during which the work contract and all amendments thereof are in effect. After the workers has completed 50% of the work contract or earlier if required in compliance to FLSA. All eligible applicants will have their inbound reasonable transportation expenses reimbursed, one time only. Domestic applicants from outside of the normal commuting distance that voluntary chose not to reside in the employer provided housing, the employer will pay for the initial inbound transportation reimbursement. However, the employer will not reimburse any workers for daily transportation cost whether commuting from inside or outside of the area of intended employment. Workers eligible for the inbound transportation benefit whom decline the employers provided incoming charter transportation will be issued payment for only the Mexico in-country leg of their outbound transportation (from the place from which the foreign worker came to work for the employer, to the consulate} along with the complete subsistence amount. The amount of such transportation payment will be equal to the Worker's actual transportation costs not to exceed the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. In lieu of the above payments to the workers for transportation, the employer reserves the right to charter or otherwise arrange to provide for transportation at employer's election. Subsistence reimbursement shall be $14.00 per day minimum and $59 maximum with receipts.

Employer will pay for the outbound transportation is the employee completes contract or is terminated without cause. Neither the ETA nor the State of Wisconsin Job Service are guarantors of the accuracy or truthfulness of the information from the employer. However, if any material misrepresentation is made by the employer, procedures of the Employment Service Complaint System at 20CFR 658, subpart F apply. No Clearance Order accepted or recruited upon by the Wisconsin Job Service constitutes a contractual job offer to which the ETA or the Wisconsin Job Service is in any way a party.
