Work Site: No Specific Work Location.
Work will be performed in Walworth, Winnebago, Racine, Jefferson and Washington counties. The employer will provide, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Worker will be paid weekly.

This is a full time temporary job from March 15, 2026-January 15, 2027. Standard work week is Monday through Friday. In addition, Saturday 6.83 hrs. work required.
Shift/Work Days:
First Shift. Workers may volunteer to work additional hours but are not required to work more than stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays.
Monday through Saturday. Hourly work schedule: 6:00 A.M. - 12:50 P.M. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.

Experience / Qualifications:
Must have 2 months prior experience. Workers must have clean driving and insurable record. Workers must pass an employer paid pre-employment drug test. Failing or refusing to take a drug test will prevent applicants from being hired. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers operating comparable operations establishing acceptable previous experience. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. Failing or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination. Extensive bending over, pushing and pulling, walking, and repetitive movements Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Crops: Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Pumpkins, Corn Silage, Haylage:
Workers will prepare field/beds for planting by hand; plant seed by hand; transplant by hand and by machine; lay plastic by hand' weed by hand and with a hoe; remove rocks, preform tillage, Workers will hand harvest all of the crops above. Workers will irrigate, harvest seed, vegetable and flowers by hand, assist in market delivery (unpacking and handoff), Area clean up, repack all listed crops, husk seed by hand; wash by hand; do general crop maintenance (pinching & tying) by hand. Detasseling, thinning and rogueing of plants; Hand sort shelled seed, participate in end of the day clean up around farm, maintain general farm neatness and cleanliness.
Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields for harvest activities or the packing facility for packing operations.
Field Fertilizer Application: Workers will perform various duties associated with applying fertilizers to fields, including the loading and unloading of the fertilizer material. Workers will also assist with the pumping of the liquid fertilizer Workers will be given a brief demonstration of what the exact duties are. This could include hooking up pumps and blowers to farm equipment and mixing the fertilizer. Workers will be preparing the worksite for application which would include laying hose on the ground with tractor, setting pumps in fertilizer pits to prepare to pump the fertilizer onto the fields. During application workers, will monitor pumps throughout the pumping process. When application is complete the workers will pick up equipment, clean-up work site and prepare to move equipment to the next location. Throughout the job, workers are responsible for maintaining equipment.
Workers will perform various duties associated with applying fertilizers to the fields used in the production of agriculture crops.
Hauling manure and agricultural products and crops is seasonal work and tied to crop production and nutrient management. Workers will drive semi-truck hauling crops and manure in tanker trailers, assisting with manure pumping, loading, unloading and transporting manure and agricultural materials. Workers will also power wash and maintain equipment, shop and farm building. Incidental activities include lawn/landscape maintenance and installation, brush mowing, wood/land clearing, gravel spreading/driveway maintenance, and fence line maintenance. Worker will be required to follow all safety and biosecurity protocols and environmental procedures, perform general farm labor (lifting, carrying, walking fields), follow DOT and farm safety regulations, maintain records related to agricultural hauling and application, inspect vehicles and equipment before and after use.
Farm, and Field Sanitation All workers will be responsible for picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and other farm sanitation duties.
EMPLOYER IS A SMOKE FREE EMPLOYER. SMOKING OR VAPING IS NOT PERMITTED EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED AREAS.
Farm Equipment Operation During Field Operations: Workers will be required to operate trucks, tractors, skid loader, mower, forklift and other farm equipment during field or packing operations as an incidental activity in the production of crops. Workers may be required to perform general maintenance and make repairs to farm equipment. Before any worker is required to operate any farm equipment, the worker will be instructed in the proper and safe operation of tractor. Workers must notify supervisor of any mechanical issues. Workers will be required to operate tractors according to instructions and in a manner that protects the operator, other workers, trees, crops and equipment. Repeated failure to obey operating and safety instructions may result in termination. Properly licensed workers may operate employer's vehicles on public roads.
GENERAL CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CROPS: Fieldwork begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in temperatures ranging from 110 degrees to below 20 degrees F. Workers will perform the majority of tasks standing in the upright position and can expect to stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Some tasks, however, require workers to perform activities on their feet in stooped or crouched position for long periods of time. Workers will frequently lift weight of 75 lbs. Workers will supply their own work clothes. All the tasks in this Job Description constitute one (1) job; the employer may assign workers to different tasks on any day or to multiple tasks during the same day in the sole judgment of the employer. Workers may be required to perform work, on the farm, that is incidental to farming the crops listed in the application, such as performing hand cultivation tasks, packing, weeding or hoeing, cleaning and repairing farm buildings, grounds, cleaning and maintaining drip irrigation systems, using backpack sprayers, gardening, weeding, shrubbing, baling hay, harvesting field corn, etc. This is a very demanding and competitive business in which quality specifications must be rigorously adhered to. Sloppy work cannot and will not be tolerated. The employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malingerer or recalcitrant worker who is physically able to but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product. During certain duties, workers may be required to work in teams to accomplish a certain task. When engaged in teamwork activities workers must coordinate with other members of the team to accomplish the task.
The farm owner/supervisor or a designated employee will provide specific instructions and close supervision. Workers will be expected to perform their duties in a timely and proficient manner and will have close supervision to insure adherence to instruction. Work will be closely monitored and reviewed for quality.
The employer will provide housing at no cost to those workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence within the same day. Family housing not available. If both male & female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided.
For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services). Dining, kitchen/cooking facilities and other common areas are shared by all workers. In the event that kitchen facilities become unavailable during the contract period, employer will provide three daily meals in and deduct the cost of such meals no more than $16.28 per day.
For workers residing in employer provided housing, the employer offers daily transportation from the housing to the place of employment. Workers staying in employer housing: Workers will be provided employer owned transportation to and from work daily from the housing. Employees will be provided with an employer owned vehicle(s) to drive to and from work for errands. Daily transportation schedule will coincide with the work schedule outlined on this application, or as agreed upon between employer and employee based on seasonal demands and/or workload. If needed multiple trips will be made if needed.
For applicants from outside of the normal commuting area: employer must pay/reimburse reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment, reimbursement must be made no later than 50% through the contract period. If the worker completes the work contract period, or if the employee is terminated without cause, the employer must provide or pay for the worker's transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer. Daily subsistence while traveling: Minimum $16.28 per day/Maximum $68.00 per day (with documentation of actual expenses).
The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
The employer will provide workers' compensation insurance coverage in compliance with State law covering injury and disease arising out of and in the course of the worker's employment.
At the time of hire, the employer must provide a worker hired to this position, copy of the work contract between the employer and the worker in a language understood by the worker as necessary or reasonable.
The employer will keep accurate and adequate records with respect to each worker's earnings and must furnish to the worker on or before each payday in one or more written wage statements.
The employer will make the following deductions from the Worker's wages: FICA taxes, Medicare, Local, State (if applicable) and Federal Income tax as required by law.
All applicants must intend to work the duration of the contract March 15, 2026-January 15, 2027.
