Work will be performed in Walworth county. The employer will provide, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Worker will be paid biweekly. On Bus Route? No


Pay: $15.00 Per Hour


The employer may, at its discretion, offer a higher hourly wage to workers who demonstrate sufficient prior agricultural work experience to qualify for a higher wage rate. The higher wage is not guaranteed and will be determined based on the worker's verified experience


Duration/Usual Hours Per Week:


Full-Time, 60 Hours Per Week Minimum

This is a full time temporary job from April 7, 2026-December 15, 2026. Standard work week is Monday through Friday. In addition, Saturday 10 hrs. work required.


Shift/Work Days:


First Shift. Workers may volunteer to work additional hours but are not required to work more than stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays.

Monday through Saturday. Hourly work schedule: 7:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS, INCLUDING RAIN, SNOW, HOT, COLD, ETC. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK LONG HOURS AND WEEKENDS DURING HEAVY PART OF THE SEASON. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK VARIABLE SCHEDULE RE: DAILY HOURS AND DAYS OFF. MUST HAVE A VALID REGULAR DRIVER'S LICENSE TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE WORK VEHICLE. MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE FARM MACHINERY SAFELY. MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO COMMIT TO WORKING THE ENTIRE SEASON. Be able to lift at least 50lbs.



Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:


THIS POSITION IS A COMBINATION OF A FARM LABORER AND FARM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR. EMPLOYEES WILL PERFORM A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING DUTIES: OPERATE FARM EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS TRACTORS. DRIVE AND CONTROL EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS TILLING SOIL, PLANTING, CULTIVATING, AND HARVESTING CROPS; LOAD AND UNLOAD CROPS OR CONTAINERS OF MATERIALS; OBSERVE AND LISTEN TO MACHINERY TO DETECT AND REPORT PROBLEMS; MANIPULATE MACHINERY TO ACTIVATE, AND ADJUST MECHANISMS ON MACHINERY; ADJUST, REPAIR AND SERVICE FARM MACHINERY; ATTACH FARM IMPLEMENTS, SUCH AS PLOWS, DISCS, SPRAYERS, OR HARVESTERS USING BOLTS AND HAND TOOLS; DRIVE VEHICLES TO HAUL SUPPLIES, TOOLS, OR OTHER EMPLOYEES; WHEN NOT OPERATING EQUIPMENT, WILL BE PERFORMING GENERAL FARM LABOR DUTIES, SUCH AS CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND WORK AREAS, AND OTHER DUTIES AS THEY ARISE ON THE FARM. HOURS AND DAYS WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WEATHER, GROWTH STAGE OF THE CROPS, AND OTHER FACTORS. SOME OVERTIME AND WEEKENDS REQUIRED DURING BUSY SEASON. ROTATING DAYS OFF, DEPENDING ON SCHEDULE AND WORKLOAD.


The employer will provide housing at no cost to those workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence within the same day. Family housing not available. The housing unit is a three-bedroom, two bathroom house. There is a fully furnished kitchen. The house fully furnished, and includes electricity, water, gas, garbage services, and bed, bedding, and a place to store personal belongings.


EMPLOYER FURNISHES A WORK VEHICLE THAT IS LICENSED AND INSURED THAT THE EMPLOYEES MAY USE TO DRIVE TO THE GROCERY STORE TO DO THEIR PERSONAL SHOPPING. THE CLOSEST GROCERY STORE IS APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES AWAY FROM THE HOUSING. Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers can prepare their own meals. The housing has a fully furnished kitchen with all of the necessary equipment and appliances (stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave), space for food preparation, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities (including adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. In the event that kitchen facilities become unavailable during the contract period, employer will provide three daily meals in and deduct the cost of such meals no more than $16.28 per day.


For workers residing in employer provided housing, the employer offers daily transportation from the housing to the place of employment.

The worksite is a farm, that includes several buildings, as well as farmland surrounding the main site. There are approximately 1,000 acres that surrounds the farm, all within Walworth County, that the Farm Laborer and Equipment Operators will be working on. Employer provides transportation from the worksite address (which is the shop on the farm) to any of areas around at no charge each day with a work work vehicle or farm vehicle equipment. Housing located across the street, they can walk. Employer also furnishes the workers with a 2008 Chevy Impala, which has a capacity is 5, that is licensed and insured and that can be used by the workers to drive back and forth. Employees also have access to one Gator - capacity is 3, and a 2009 Ford F-250--capacity to use to drive home if the car has been taken by someone else.


For applicants from outside of the normal commuting area: employer must pay/reimburse reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment, reimbursement must be made no later than 50% through the contract period. If the worker completes the work contract period, or if the employee is terminated without cause, the employer must provide or pay for the worker's transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer. Daily subsistence while traveling: Minimum $16.28 per day/Maximum $68.00 per day (with documentation of actual expenses).


The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.


The employer will provide workers' compensation insurance coverage in compliance with State law covering injury and disease arising out of and in the course of the worker's employment.


At the time of hire, the employer must provide a worker hired to this position, copy of the work contract between the employer and the worker in a language understood by the worker as necessary or reasonable.


The employer will keep accurate and adequate records with respect to each worker's earnings and must furnish to the worker on or before each payday in one or more written wage statements.


The employer guarantees a minimum wage of $15.00 per hour to all workers who meet the minimum job requirements, which include no education and no prior experience. The employer does not anticipate making any deductions. The employer will not make any deductions, including federal withholding, without the written consent of the employee, as permitted by law. Deductions for destruction of property and fines may be made after the damage or fine has occurred and after obtaining the worker's written authorization to make the deduction.
